Additional Facility Information
The SMART Program, located in Del Valle, is designated as a diversion program, which provides residential treatment services and continuing care to offenders with substance abuse offenses or a documented history of chemical dependency. Generally, offenders who participate in the SMART Program have participated in residential treatment in the past. It is sometimes viewed as one of the most restrictive sanctions imposed as a last resort prior to incarceration.   All of the offenders entering the SMART Facility are under court order to attend the 5 month residential program.
